FLYT 2290 is a community robotics team open to high school students from any Rockford area high school or homeschool program.

No experience required. Just show up ready to learn, build, and compete!

What to Expect

FLYT runs year round

Competition Season (January – April)

  • 5 practices per week
  • First 6 weeks: Design, build, and test a 100+ lb robot
  • Competition: Compete and continuously improve the robot

Offseason (May – December)

  • 2 practices per week focused on training, outreach, and preparing for the season.

Students lead, mentors support, and everyone learns!
